A 1000 W motor drives the air through two air channels at an air speed of 690 km/h, drying hands in around 12 seconds. The unit uses cold air: thanks to the high air speed it does not feel cold, and no heat is used in which bacteria multiply more quickly.
For hygiene, the Airblade V comes as standard with two built-in HEPA filters which, according to the manufacturer, remove 99.9% of bacteria from the air before it is blown onto the hands. The plastic contains an antibacterial additive and the unit holds an NSF certificate. Installation is simple: a 240 V power supply at the mounting point and two bolts are all you need.
