Hands-under hand dryers: versions and designs

With a hands-under hand dryer, you hold your hands beneath the unit and an air stream dries them. A sensor starts the unit as soon as you hold your hands beneath it and stops it automatically afterwards. This dryer takes up little space, fits above or next to the washbasin and replaces paper towels, which reduces waste in your washroom.

Dyson Airblade V and Airblade 9kJ

The Airblade V (HU02) is a compact wall unit in nickel or white. The Airblade 9kJ (HU03) is a powerful hands-under model from Dyson. For both units you will find HEPA filters and a stainless steel wall plate among the accessories.

Mitsubishi Jet Towel Smart

The Jet Towel Smart from Mitsubishi is a hands-under hand dryer for professional washrooms. The unit works touch-free and fits well in a modern washroom.

Onyx Pebble

The Pebble is a design model with a rounded shape, in black, grey or pearl white. There is also a Pebble + UV in black. A good choice when the hand dryer helps shape the look of your interior.

Dryflow: Slimforce, Bulletdri Plus, Vistosa, Infinity and Aura

Dryflow offers a range of slim, compact hands-under models. This lets you choose a unit that suits the space and style of your washroom. A replacement HEPA filter is available for the Infinity.

Delabie 4-function mirror cabinet

If you want a sleek finish to the washbasin area, you can choose the 4-function mirror cabinet from Delabie. It brings several functions, including hand drying, together behind a single mirror.

Which spaces are they for?

A hands-under hand dryer suits offices, hospitality venues, schools, sports halls and public buildings. Where many visitors wash their hands one after another, a dryer prevents paper ending up on the floor or dispensers running empty. In care facilities, practices and food businesses, the touch-free operation is particularly appreciated. For very busy spaces, you can also look at our hands-in hand dryers.

What to look for

• Number of visitors: for intensive use, choose a powerful model that dries hands quickly.
• Noise: in offices or care settings, a quieter unit is more pleasant. Compare the product details for this.
• Material and colour: metal or plastic, in a finish that matches your interior.
• Hygiene: some units have a HEPA filter. Check that replacement filters are available.
• Mounting: provide an electrical connection at the right height, including for children or wheelchair users.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference with a hands-in hand dryer?

With a hands-in model, you insert your hands into an opening in the unit. With a hands-under model, you hold them beneath it, which makes the dryer more compact and easy to combine with a washbasin. You will find all types among our hand dryers.

May I mount a hand dryer myself?

The unit is fixed to the wall and connected to the mains. Have this done by a qualified installer or make use of our installation service.

Where can I find a replacement filter?

HEPA filters for the Airblade V, the Airblade 9kJ and the Dryflow Infinity, among others, can be found in the accessories. Always check the type code of your unit.
