Types of folding paper dispensers

A hand towel dispenser releases folded paper towels one at a time or in small amounts, so every user takes a clean towel. Paper towels dry quickly and are thrown away after use. With a well-chosen dispenser, you keep the washbasin tidy and consumption under control. The main choices are range, material and size. They are part of our wider range of dispensers.

Stainless steel and aluminium: Mediclinics, MediQo-line and Wings

For a durable, professional look, choose a metal dispenser. MediQo-line offers stainless steel and aluminium in a small and a large size, Mediclinics has a stainless steel version and Wings an aluminium model. Metal is sturdy and goes well with other stainless steel washroom fittings.

White, black and high gloss

If you want the dispenser to blend in with a light or a dark interior, there are lacquered versions. Mediclinics has models in white, black and high gloss, and MediQo-line offers a white version in small and large.

Plastic: PlastiQline, Qbic-line, Basicline and SanTRAL

Plastic dispensers are light and economical. PlastiQline has a mini and a midi in different sizes, plus a PlastiQline Exclusive model. Basicline and SanTRAL each offer a small and a large size, and Qbic-line a dispenser in the style of that range.

Mini, small, midi or large

The size determines how many towels fit in the dispenser. A mini or small model suits a separate toilet, a midi or large one suits washrooms with many visitors.

For which spaces?

Folding paper dispensers are a staple in offices, schools and sports facilities. In hospitality and kitchens, they let staff dry their hands quickly and hygienically, which is important there.

In care facilities, practices and laboratories, paper towels are also often preferred, because each towel is thrown away after use. In public buildings and event venues, it is best to choose a larger model that needs refilling less often.

What to look for

• Paper fold: check that the dispenser suits the type of folded towel you use, such as Z-fold or interfold.
• Capacity: a larger model needs refilling less often in busy washrooms.
• Available wall space: measure in advance how much room there is next to or above the washbasin.
• Material: stainless steel and aluminium are robust, plastic is light and economical.
• Matching range: choose a dispenser from the same range as your soap dispenser and waste bin for a consistent look.

Frequently asked questions

What size of dispenser do I need?

That depends on the number of users. For a small toilet a mini or small model is enough; for washrooms with heavy traffic, a midi or large one is the better choice.

Is stainless steel better than plastic?

Stainless steel and aluminium are robust and look high-end. Plastic is lighter and more economical. Both are suitable for professional use: the choice depends on your budget and the look you want.

Does every folded towel fit every dispenser?

Not always. Towels differ in fold and dimensions. Check on the product page which paper fits, or contact us if you are unsure.
