Wiping paper rolls (13)

Wiping paper rolls

Wiping paper rolls are strong paper rolls for cleaning, drying and soaking up dirt or liquids. For workshops, kitchens, hospitality and cleaning, in mini and midi sizes, with or without a core. Feel free to request a quote for larger quantities.

Which wiping roll should you choose?

You choose a wiping roll based on four things: the size, with or without a core, the material and the number of plies. Alongside the Tork Wiping rolls, we offer a wide range of HS wiping rolls in cellulose and recycled paper.

Mini wiping rolls

Mini wiping rolls are compact and supplied in packs of 12, with 72 to 120 metres per roll. They are handy where usage is lower or space is limited, such as a small kitchen, a plant room or a van. Examples are the Tork Wiping mini roll and the HS mini roll in cellulose.

Midi wiping rolls

Midi wiping rolls are larger, with 135 to 300 metres per roll and 6 rolls per pack. They are designed for intensive use in workshops, commercial kitchens and by cleaning services. You replace the roll less often, which saves time. Here too you can choose between Tork Wiping and the HS own brand.

With or without a core

Coreless wiping rolls leave no cardboard tube behind and are used up completely. Rolls with a core suit holders in which the roll turns around a spindle or support. So check which type your dispenser or wall holder requires.

Cellulose or recycled

Cellulose is soft, strong and absorbs moisture well. Recycled paper, such as the HS midi roll in recycled tissue, is an economical choice for general cleaning and uses fewer virgin raw materials.

1-ply or 2-ply

A 1-ply roll holds more metres: the HS midi roll in 1-ply cellulose has 300 metres, the 2-ply version 160 metres. A 2-ply roll is thicker and stronger, which helps with grease, oil or larger amounts of liquid.

Blue wiping rolls

Besides white paper, we also offer blue midi wiping rolls, in 1-ply cellulose and 2-ply recycled paper. Blue paper is easy to spot, which is why it is often chosen in kitchens and food businesses.

Overview of wiping paper rolls: mini and midi rolls, coreless rolls, cellulose, recycled paper and blue wiping rolls

Which sectors is it for?

Wiping rolls are a basic product in almost every professional environment:

  • Workshops and industry: for wiping hands, tools and machines, and soaking up oil or grease.
  • Hospitality and commercial kitchens: for drying worktops and quickly soaking up spilt liquids.
  • Cleaning: as a disposable cloth for cleaning surfaces, sanitary facilities and equipment.
  • Offices, schools and care: in pantries, canteens, plant rooms and treatment rooms.

What to look for

  • Usage: with heavy use a midi roll saves you work; with limited use a mini roll is enough.
  • Holder or dispenser: check whether your holder needs a roll with a core or a coreless roll, and which size fits.
  • Type of dirt: for oil, grease and lots of liquid, 2-ply is stronger; for light cleaning, 1-ply is economical.
  • Material: choose cellulose for strength and softness, or recycled paper as an economical and more sustainable option.
  • Colour: blue stands out more, white is the classic choice for general use.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a wiping roll and a kitchen roll?

A wiping roll is larger and designed for intensive professional use, often in a wall holder or dispenser. A kitchen roll is smaller and is mainly used in pantries and kitchens. Take a look at our kitchen rolls or our full range of paper.

Mini or midi: which suits me?

A mini roll is compact and handy where space is limited or usage stays low. A midi roll holds more metres and is better suited to workshops, commercial kitchens and cleaning services where a lot of paper is used every day.

Does a coreless wiping roll fit every holder?

Not always. Some holders need a core to hang the roll, while others are designed specifically for coreless rolls. Check your holder or contact us for advice.
